🦺 Safety Through Learning, Leadership & Continuous Improvement
As we move through the second half of 2026, Connect Group remains committed to strengthening our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance and ensuring safety remains at the forefront of everything we do.
Our Q3 and Q4 priorities include advancing Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles, strengthening workforce competency, managing critical risks, preparing for seasonal hazards, and maintaining strong leadership engagement in the field.
A key part of this commitment is continuing to build a strong learning culture - one where open communication, active worker participation, and meaningful conversations about risk help us learn, improve our systems, and make better decisions.
👏 Thank you to our teams for continuing to look out for one another, speak up when something doesn’t seem right, and demonstrate a commitment to safe work every day.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and together, we’re building a safer and stronger Connect Group.

Today, the Fort McMurray CGI team was proud to participate in the CAREERS Young Women in Trades and Technologies Amazing Race Camp, hosting a challenge and roadblock for three teams of participants. During their visit, they learned about the importance of PPE and explored the trade-specific tools and equipment that help keep skilled trades professionals safe on the job.
We're committed to introducing our next generation of trades professionals to safe work practices that build confidence, protect workers, and support workforce development - today and for the future 💙👷♀️🔧

🌧️ Rain or shine, Rock The Rails 2026 delivered an unforgettable weekend.
Friday’s rain cleared just in time for registration and the skate competitions, and the park quickly filled with incredible energy. Saturday brought delays due to weather, but the riders were ready to drop in at a moment’s notice, proving the event’s spirit never slowed down.
From the skate comp packed with talented young riders, to the vendor booths, to an all-star music festival all in one place, Rock the Rails once again showed what makes this event special: a community that shows up no matter the forecast.
Huge thanks to everyone who came out, competed, performed, volunteered, and supported the weekend. 🎸🛹👏

Today, we came together as a community to recognize Red Dress Day, a day that honours and raises awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. The red dresses serve as a powerful visual reminder of those who are missing, those we have lost, and the ongoing impacts of violence faced by Indigenous communities across Canada.
A heartfelt thank you to Athabasca Tribal Council, the Elders for their prayers, Presenters, Drummers, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, and all the organizers who made the Red Dress Solidarity Walk at Kiyām Community Park so meaningful. It was a powerful day of reflection, learning, and connection - one that reinforces the importance of listening, honouring lived experiences, and continuing the work toward truth, justice, and safety for all.
