Community Initiative for Animal Rescue

While delivering cat food and pet care items to Newark Neighbours Food Bank and Thrift Shop a few days our volunteers learned that the shelves were empty of dog food.

There was only one thing we could do, reach out to our community of animal lovers!! The call was answered by Animal Assistance Society of Niagara who generously donated 354 lbs of wet/ dry dog food and some yummy cat treats.

Our hearts are overwhelmed by this kind gesture !! Thank you ❤️🐾

Thank you Niagara Dog Food Bank for the much needed wet cat food, doggie pet care treats and oral care products !!
It’s always a pleasure collaborating with you and Miss Dixie's Foundation in support of Newark Neighbours Food Bank and Thrift Shop!!

Your generosity also provided much needed cat food for Joys Rescue

Our members and volunteers are pleased to announce the generous sponsors contributing to our annual Christmas fundraiser in support of animal rescue
🎄🐾❤️

If you’ve never attended one of our fundraisers, please consider joining us this Christmas and making it the best fundraiser of 2026!

Due to overwhelming generosity our volunteers delivered 126 lbs of cat litter to Newark Neighbours Food Bank and Thrift Shop for their cat clients.
