We read meaning into mixed signals.
We hold on to potential instead of reality.
We convince ourselves we matter more than we actually do and that illusion hurts more than the truth ever could.
Sometimes the pain isn’t from what they did…
It’s from what we imagined they felt.

You don’t destroy someone’s name and walk away clean.
You carry the weight of every lie you told it sits in your chest, rotting the peace you thought you’d gain.
People who talk behind your back don’t heal; they just trade truth for temporary relief.
