Some doors close and you fight to get back in.

Wisdom is knowing the difference....don't stay in the valley for too long. You were not meant to stay there.

We've all been there. Your body shows up. Your brain files a complaint before 9am.
You pour the coffee. You stare at the screen. You open 4 tabs and close 3 of them immediately.
Fully present. Completely absent.
And somewhere between the second meeting and lunch, your brain finally clocks in. Two hours late, no explanation, no apology.
Corporate humor? No. Just a Thursday.
You got this. Smile friday is around the corner.
Thinking the purpose of this series is to say "I told you so" couldn't be further from the truth. I lived it twice. And what I learned is how to set boundaries and ask for what I want.
You don't need to shrink, comply with a "pink glasses" vision, or fit into a business culture that isn't yours. If where you are doesn't match who you are, move.

They will ask for feedback than use it as a weapon against you. So if you tell them the machine is broken here how we can fix it this will be perceived as negative or passive aggressive.
Which is clearly insane.
Every details that manager said was PURE CONSTRUSTIVE FEEDBACK with a plan to succeed.
To see it otherwise means they are not leaders and they do not have a solid neither clear vision. They are looking for compliance and agreement with their ideas only.
If you have high performer and people that care let them COOK.
High performers do not need more oversight. They need room to execute. The moment you take that away you lose them.
Control is not leadership. It is fear wearing a title.
