Single mother of 3 loses everything, organized by Malinda Germann

Last year for Black History Month I highlighted strong black women who influenced my life. Helping children and young women flourish into becoming successful powerful black women has always been my passion. This year I would like to highlight young women who have overcome adversities and challenges in their life and risen above truly representing a strong black women.

Sharifa Delpeche is a young black mother of 3 whose life drastically changed in 1 month. She has overcome, sorrow, pain, tragedy and is still trying to rise above and get through these challenges of life.

She lost her 2 month old baby to SIDS just 2 weeks before Christmas, then 2 weeks later on the evening of burying her baby; her landlord called to inform her the apartment building she lives in was on fire loosing all her babies memories and personal possessions of her other 3 children. Please join me as I honour the strength of Sharifa Peche (Sharifa Delpeche).

Please donate whatever you can, even if it’s just words of encouragement and empowerment. Organizations have helped with stove, fridge and beds.

Today the reality of COVID really hit home! It has crippled our household as loved ones battle to defeat it. It has numbers rising astronomically causing Universities to enforce restrictions that prevent me from travelling once again. Today I had to postpone the reunion with my friend Vice President Kamala Harris again!!
Hopefully this is the last time I have to cancel my flight to Washington!

I can’t believe I am on Kamala Harris Wikipedia page! It was a year ago today that Vice President Kamala Harris tweeted to the world that I inspired her career path. It is still so incredible to see my name being included as part of her history! It’s truly a joy and honor.
