The Lighthouse Learning & Development Centre empowers neurodiverse individuals through education, life skills, and community support.

We offer Elementary and Secondary School, and Adult Services like Day Training and Work Experience. Children with Autism have individual learning barriers, but they are NOT incapable of learning. When those barriers are identified and the teaching process is personalized to how a child learns extraordinary success can be achieved. It's time we focus on what our children CAN do and embrace their differences.

Our students just finished reading their first novel together!
Throughout the story, they practised taking turns while reading, actively listening to one another, making predictions, and strengthening their comprehension skills. They worked hard, encouraged each other, and showed so much growth along the way.
To celebrate this accomplishment, we’ll be watching the Disney movie adaptation during the last week of school. They are so proud of themselves, and we couldn’t be prouder of them too!

We are incredibly grateful to have the support of Paul Addie, creator of Behaviour Management Systems (BMS).
Paul has been a strong advocate for quality support services and has helped equip our team with valuable de-escalation and crisis support skills through BMS training.
Thank you, Paul, for your continued support of Lighthouse and for sharing a few kind words about our organization. We are honoured to have you as part of our journey.

A huge thank you to YRT for welcoming us behind the scenes for an amazing tour! 🚌
Our participants had a fantastic time learning more about public transit, exploring the facilities, and capturing some great memories along the way.
And here’s some exciting news... Lighthouse is officially on the YRT buses! 🎉
Keep an eye out for our ad along the Highway 7 and Yonge Street routes. If you spot one, snap a picture, post it, and tag both Lighthouse and YRT—we would love to see it!
Thank you again to the YRT team for your time, hospitality, and commitment to supporting community inclusion.

Finding the right educational environment for your child can feel overwhelming, especially now with uncertain staffing within public school boards. At Lighthouse Learning & Development Centre, we believe every student deserves a place where they are understood, supported, and encouraged to succeed.
Our Ministry-Inspected and Approved School Program is designed for children and youth with autism and other exceptional learning needs. Through individualized education plans, low student-to-staff ratios, consistent staffing, and a structured learning environment, we help students build confidence, develop independence, and reach their full potential.
We are proud to offer OSSD opportunities in credit-bearing classes, ongoing progress monitoring, and personalized programming tailored to each student’s unique strengths and goals.
Now accepting new students for the upcoming school year.
Book a tour and discover how Lighthouse can support your child’s educational journey.
