✨Once Again Ronny’s Bistro off River Road in Maple Ridge did not disappoint‼️ I ordered the Piggy Omelet 🐷 with Crispy Bacon & Gluten Free Toast with Italian Roast Coffee ☕️ and Oatmilk. My Mini Pixie ordered the kids Croffle 🧇 with Bacon which comes with a juice box. 🧃 Portion sizes even with the kids meals are so generous and we always have to box up almost 1/2 lol.

Update on the Pinty’s Gluten Free Chicken Burgers I got at Freshco in Maple Ridge. I cooked them in the oven and served them like a Mc Chicken sandwich with vegan mayo, shredded lettuce and promise brand hamburger buns from Walmart. (I like mayo and lettuce on both sides of the bun) It was actually really good! I’m going to have to try the bbq or deep fryer for comparison. Served with plain Mc Cain fries which are naturally gluten free - no coating.

Today I went to ALL the grocery stores in Maple Ridge so you don’t have to! I was on the hunt for Pinty’s - Eatwell Gluten Free Chicken Strips! Save on Foods is where I used to buy them. I went to all 3 and checked online. No locations near me in surrounding cities had it either. I checked Walmart and they didn’t have them either. Checked their online and no locations near me in surrounding cities had it either. 5th store for the WIN!!! Freshco Maple Ridge Thank you so much! Not only did they have the chicken strips and nuggets that I LOVE, they also had Chicken Burgers - If you know me well, you know that I LOVE the Mc Chicken (when I used to be able to eat it) so now I can attempt to recreate this burger at home! 😁😁😁

Went to Sammy J's Grill & Bar Maple Ridge last week for lunch. I ordered the BBQ chicken club but asked for it not to be Cajun (because I haven’t been handling spice well lately) on a gluten free bun and served with gluten free cream of tomato soup. I was pleasantly surprised that the gluten free bun was actually really good. The burger was so yummy and messy. The soup was fantastic too! Very impressed and will be back for sure. It is a shared kitchen with shared equipment but I did not react. Price was typical for a restaurant/pub at $24.5 and they did have a separate gluten free menu which was helpful. These were not dairy free fyi. The burger could be if you don’t want cheese though.

Wednesday Night the family and I went to Red Robin Canada for dinner to celebrate one of our daughter’s team wins. Kids got a bottomless Rootbeer Float and a bottomless Candied Orange Cream Soda, I had tea, husband had water. The server brought complimentary fries for the table. I asked the server if they had a gluten free menu and they directed me to their allergen website where I was able to add my preferences and then my options would come up as well as modifications. I found this quite helpful. We all ordered burgers. My husband and one of my daughters ordered the Open Wide Burger - no pickled relish, served with bottomless Garlic Fries, my other daughter ordered the Gormet Cheese Burger with bottomless Steak Fries, and I ordered the Southern Charm Burger with a gluten free bun and Garden Salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

The steak fries and the garlic fries (which were served with a garlic aoli mayo and sprinkled in Parmesan cheese) were gluten free. The steak fries were good, the garlic fries honestly just tasted like the regular fries and not very garlicky. The garlic aoli mayo helped make it garlicky but was still lacking in garlic flavour.

Everyone enjoyed their burgers and were happy with their meals over all. I was particularly surprised and impressed with their gluten free bun (usually this is where I find most places completely miss the mark) I very much enjoyed this burger and we will definitely go back!

Service was good water took a bit to get refilled but otherwise attentive

Price was typical $$
$24 for the Open Wide burgers each. $20 for the Gormet Cheese Burger and the Southern Charm Burger was $22

GM Restaurant in Maple Ridge honestly never disappoints. I always leave feeling like I’ve been treated like extended family. Everything I ordered was gluten and dairy free with the exception of the garlic naan for my husband/kids and the vegetable pakora which is gluten friendly but not gluten free due to the shared fryer.

We ordered the following dishes all mild which we will rate independently:
- Vegetable pakora: gluten friendly and dairy free 4/5 the sauce was less sweet than we expected but still very tasty and enjoyed by all and was mild as requested.
- Lentil Soup: naturally gluten and dairy free 5/5 This could be served as a soup or over rice, tasty and mild enjoyed by all
- Chicken Tikka: naturally gluten free and made dairy free with coconut milk instead of heavy cream. 3.5/5 The chicken had a smokier flavour than we remember this dish having that just wasn’t our favorite but the check was still moist and tender and the rice was good and mild as requested.
- Tour of India Meat: this was butter chicken and beef curry with rice, mixed curried vegetables, pickled carrots, mint chutney, salad and papadum all naturally gluten free and requested dairy free so prepared with coconut milk for an extra charge 1 Naan was included served on the side. And we ordered 2 more garlic naan on the side too (not gluten free) 4/5 The meat and curries were very flavourful and tender however very spicy even though we requested mild the receipt said medium. The veggies, salad, pickled carrots, chutney, and papadum were all great. The kids and husband were happy with the garlic Naan. Even though it was too spicy everyone did enjoy the flavour. The curried beef was my husband’s favourite dish.
- Butter Chicken: naturally gluten free and made dairy free with coconut milk for an added charge 5/5 exactly what we ordered and expected based on previous visits. It was flavourful, tender and creamy and served mild as requested and enjoyed by everyone. It was mine and my 2 daughter’s favorite dish (although I think the garlic naan is secretly their favourite 😂)
- Rice: plain steamed rice was cooked perfectly. No complaints 5/5

Price/Value 2/3 $$ Mostly good portion sizes and quality but a bit expensive with the added $1 per dish that was made dairy free with coconut milk. Total for meal was $125.88 before tip. We are a family of 4 and have enough left overs for a second lunch for all 4 of us tomorrow.

Service: 4/5 The server and owners are always so kind and accommodating. Only concern was the mistyping of spiciness of the one dish.

Overall Experience: 4/5 🧚🧚🧚🧚 and will definitely be back again as this is the only Indian restaurant in Maple Ridge that has indicated they can accommodate gluten and diary free.

And as per my previous post I also had a vegan chai tea made with coconut milk while I waited for the food which the owner kindly served with complimentary papadum and mint chutney.

Patiently waiting for my take out order at GM Restaurant who always go above and beyond to ensure that I feel like family every time I visit. Most of their menus is already naturally Gluten Free except for the Samosas, Naan, Roti etc. they also can make most items dairy free when requested. There is some cross contamination concerns if you are Celiac with the shared Fryer so keep that in mind if you are ordering pakora which is made with chic pea flour but the fryer is shared. Stay tuned for a full review once I get home! Thank you for my dairy free Chia tea and papadum with mint chutney while I wait ❤️🧚

The Reach Neighbourhood Pub & Grill located at 203rd and Dewdney/Lougheed has some limited Gluten Free menu items and I ordered the gluten free poutine. The fries were crispy, the cheese was melty and the gravy was savory in all the right ways. Service was great even though they were busy as it was Wing Wednesday. My only suggestion for the company is to be more clear on their menu: I was originally going to order the Beef + Potato Croquettes which on the menu said were served with Gluten Free Gravy but the server said that the beef was coated in flour and therefore not Gluten Free. My suggestion to the restaurant is to update their menu to not highlight gluten free gravy on an item that is not gluten free as it can cause confusion.
