This exciting national online event will bring together inspiring professionals from a wide range of fields, all sharing how learning French has shaped their personal and professional journeys. Students will have the chance to discover the countless ways bilingualism can open doors and create real opportunities across Canada.

☀️ Summer is just around the corner — and so are some amazing French language experiences for your kids!

CPF BC & Yukon has a fantastic lineup of camps and exchanges to help children and youth practice their French while making memories this summer. Here's a taste of what's available:

🏕️ BC Family French Camp — The whole family camps together! Children from French immersion and other French-speaking families set up camp side by side, surrounded by the sounds of kids playing en français.

🎨 Fun with French Summer Camp (Burnaby) — Three exciting weeks of sports, arts, and activities — all in a French language environment!

✏️ Camp Virgule — A great option for kids aged 6 to 12 to learn and practice French while having tons of fun.

🏘️ Maillardville Summer Camp — Outdoor games, artistic workshops, science experiments, cultural activities, and more for kids aged 5 to 12.

🌍 YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange — A unique national exchange program for youth aged 16 and 17 to experience life in a different community across Canada.

Whether your child is just starting their French journey or already a confident speaker, there's something for everyone. 💙

Chaque année le 24 juin, les francophones de partout au Canada célèbrent avec fierté leur langue, leur culture et leurs traditions. Avec près de 10 millions de francophones au pays, c'est une journée qui nous rappelle la richesse et la vitalité du français d'un océan à l'autre! 💙

Chez Canadian Parents for French, nous sommes fiers de contribuer chaque jour au rayonnement de la langue française dans nos deux provinces. La Saint-Jean-Baptiste nous rappelle pourquoi ce travail est si important et si précieux pour nos familles et nos communautés.

Le Centre Culturel Francophone de Vancouver presents its youth show as part of the 37th Annual Festival d’été francophone, featuring Kalimba, the French-speaking percussionist-singer beloved by young audiences!

The performance will take place on Sunday, May 31, at Studio 16 (1551 West 7th Avenue) from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

In this new show, Kalimba takes on the challenge of overcoming everyday obstacles. Through rhythm and music, she invents her own tools and strategies to learn better, stay focused, and manage her surroundings. Drums, electronic coats, body percussion, and songs become ways to stay on track when everything moves too fast… and to release built-up tension.

This playful and heartfelt performance invites children and adults alike to explore their emotions and clear their minds. At the heart of the adventure is her journal, a true treasure chest of thoughts, where Kalimba shares everything crossing her mind.

That's a wrap! Concours Oratoire 2026 is in the books and we are very proud of all the students that participated! Congratulations to Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows School District No. 42's very own Elizabeth Sali, a Grade 7 French Immersion student at Laityview Elementary, who placed first🥇! The Canadian Parents for French Concours d’art oratoire is Canada’s largest French public speaking competition. Way to go Elizabeth!!!
