I picked up this book the other day called “The courage to be disliked”. The amount of anxiety that often comes from wanting to people please and make sure whatever I’m doing isn’t going to upset anyone else is a big part of healing my mental health right now. Yes I believe being kind and compassionate to others is a fundamental part of life but not when it begins surpass your own mental well being and peace of mind. That doesn’t mean being rude or careless but rather firm and confident in yourself and your choices. Choosing yourself comes first even if that means being disliked by some. 🤍

It’s been awhile. Honestly I’ve been struggling with self doubt, self confidence and a lot of inner work that stemmed from my last job. That job brought up big feelings of anxiety which I haven’t even begun to work through yet. For right now I am recognizing that I still have a lot of s**t to unpack in order to be authentic and feel as though I’m putting my true self forward (which quite frankly I don’t know who that is right now). What I do know is that the universe will keep handing out the same lessons, the same relationships, the same type of pain until we recognize the patterns that are keeping us small, stagnant, and complacent. It is our own responsibility to break those patterns, in order to move forward. So thanks for being here and know whatever s**t your going through I see you.🤍

Look in the mirror and remind yourself that you decide your joy & happiness in this life and no matter how hard the world try’s - they cant take that away from you. 🤍🌿👁

Growth isn’t always comfortable. It’s gritty. It’s hard. It’s difficult to confront yourself sometimes.

Here are a few gentle thought provoking questions to begin asking yourself. Write it down, date it, and see what comes up for you. 💭

A few reminders for you & me:

🌱 Your life isn’t yours if you always care what other people think

🌱 Stop making your happiness conditional on things looking a certain way
🌱 There’s no need to analyze everything that happens to you as good or bad - sometimes you just need to experience it

I feel we could all use a reminder to live our lives without the fear of what other people will think. Although it’s not always easy — at the end of the day your life is yours, you get to choose what to do with it🤍🌿🌞

Today’s mantra...

I can create change.
I am in charge of my decisions.
I allow myself to move forward.
I trust my intuition.
I know what’s best for me.
🤍🌿🌙🌱🌞

Some days I’m left wondering if my dreams are too big for this world or if this world is too small for my dreams 🌎🤍💭

What if instead of trying to find ourselves we choose to free ourselves?

I’ve been flipping at random through Inward book every morning and this is what it showed me today. 🔮🤍 Do you feel trapped in the need to find yourself? What would it feel like to free yourself from that concept and simply live your life instead?

Repeat after me 🗣
•It is easy for me to express my true desires
•My purpose is constantly becoming clearer
•I let go of the pressure of time
• Good things are always coming my way
If the story in your mind is constantly focused on what’s wrong or what’s not working for you, your brain 🧠 is going to pick up on that and continue to reinforce scenarios, thoughts, and actions that aren’t working (as well as disregard anything that doesn’t confirm that negativity). So what happens when you switch the narrative? You shift into a state of positivity and possibility. Your brain will start to look for confirmation of positive beliefs throughout different areas of your life, which in turn set you up for what you truly desire and align with.

The words you use (through speech or thought) have a powerful impact on how you perceive yourself and the world around you. Choose wisely 💭

My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who you are, with your dreams and visions of a better world and a better life. Continue to astonish a cold, calculating, mean world with an abundance of kindness, compassion and love. Lastly and maybe most importantly I hope you continue to gently shake the world awake with your unwavering light💡
