I feel were due for a crisis that will echo the banking. The mentality has been a massive issue in almost all of our commercial ventures. There are some wonderful exceptions (Thank you bcorps and the likes!!), but as someone who's been through these scale up and scale down, there's very little human or of quality when this happens.

You need people who care about the product. The results. The users. Yes, funds and ressources are essentials, but they should not be the main goal.

I'm happy we seem to somewhat be opening up more socially about these issues, albeit still very sparringly for fear of being judged or categories too easily. If you have a differing opinion, I invite you to share it :)
