We are not doing purely organic medication for now. It's 90%\10% with organic taking the highest percentage.

Yesterday was synthetic medication and today we are going with organic (Bitter leaf, Secent leaf and Pawpaw leaf extract ) for 3hours followed by pure drinking water.

Vaccination schedule for broilers (simple list)

Photos from Alphagate's post 01/29/2026

The leaves that I used this morning are here - bitter leaves, scent leaves (basil ), and paw paw ( papaya) leaves.

I extracted their juice and mix it with water for them.

The quantity I have here will be enough for the three days if still fresh or refrigerated after extracting.

It's for coccidiosis.

Choose prevention over treatment,
it costs less to prevent than to treat in poultry farming.

Many farmers lose birds because diseases are noticed too late.

The truth is, most losses come from common diseases not detected early.

From experience, these are the top 5 diseases brioler farmers encounter.

Newcastle Disease – sudden déath, green droppings, twisted neck. Mostly due to poor vaccination or broken cold chain.

Gumboro (IBD) – weakness, whitish watery droppings, fast spread.
It lowers immunity and invites other diseases.

Coccidiosis – bloody or brown watery droppings, poor growth.
Common with wet litter and overcrowding.

CRD (Respiratory Disease) – coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge.
Worse with poor ventilation and dust.

Fowl Cholera – sudden déath in healthy-looking birds.
Linked to poor biosecurity and rodents.

Note that disease control isn’t only about drugs.
✔️ Dry litter
✔️ Good ventilation
✔️ Proper vaccination
✔️ Early action

If you notice coughing, weakness, watery droppings, or sudden death, isolate the bird and call your vet early.
