So happy to see my students succeed! When she first started, she was at ELL level 2. Then within 3 months, she didn’t need to be in the ELL program. Now, 2.5 years later, she is going into a limited specialized program for Grade 8 students to challenge them so they can reach their full potential.

Writing can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be.

As we get older, we tend to think that things will get more and more complicated because of the responsibilities that come with our age.

But, even though the quantity of work might increase, it doesn’t mean the criteria is more complicated. For students, it’s the same idea.

As your child gets older, their teacher’s criteria seems to increase and become more complicated - but if your child has the strategy to look past the “big scary words and lists” and simplify, your child will quickly find the motivation and energy to be creative, rather than checking the list of expectations over and over again.
