Coming together one piece at a time

The team has been busy. Lots left to do but it's coming along!!

What are we up to now?

Well, that's a wrap for now. We were able to get some shake down testing done before things got cold. Glad we did as there's some things to improve on over the winter.
Thank you to those who have helped us get this far.

We're still here!
Everyone gets busy so it took awhile but.....carbon work is pretty well done!! Onto the next step.....

It's all the little things that matter.
Front door hinges are coming along, a sexy billet bolt-together converter going in, building the engine mid-plate and 3D designing/printing a one of a kind shifter box. Patience is a virtue, but we're all getting itchy to make a hit!!!

Lexan for the front doors, reseal the afco's and picking away at the new shifter.
Little bit closer.....😈

More pieces to the puzzle.
Some of you might know why we had to design and 3D print that vent for the back of the transmission instead of its usual spot 😉
Fab'ing up for the new shifter has begun as well.

Try as hard as you want, s**t still happens. Old block isn't usable so in goes the spare. Did a different approach to "hot torquing" this time 😉. It might not make the most power or look the best, but that's not the goal right now.
Startup went well, lots of oil psi and one loose fuel fitting (causing the lumpy idle).
Couple more things to finish up then it's off to the dyno for break-in and calibrating.

Big engines need love too 🤘
While the relic's engine is being rebuilt (unfortunately), we took advantage of the nice weather to give RER's home on the road a tune up. She's going to see some miles soon 😈

We'd like to congratulate all the competitors at for putting on a great performance. .h.p.d.inc & for organizing the event & for hosting. It was great to go reconnect with everyone. Not gonna lie, we would have enjoyed competing more 😉

Unfortunately....it will be a bit longer for us. On our first shake down and "curiosity spool up" test (on a very very unrevised calibration)...we noticed some unpleasant sounds coming from the engine after.
The whole team wants to go racing but we are going to be safe and find out what is going on first.

Stay tuned......

Doors are on the home stretch as is the spoiler. Can't wait to get this old relic into the sun and start dialing the chassis in.
