One year ago today I made the first TrueNorthCore post.
Honestly, I thought maybe a few buddies would buy a hoodie and that would be the end of it.
Instead, over the last year I've had complete strangers message me. I've had guys tell me they've seen the logo around. I've had people send me pictures of gear being worn in places I've never even been.
And every time it happens, it's a weird feeling.
Because when you're the one behind it, you don't really see it growing.
You're just trying to keep moving forward one step at a time.
I know I've been pretty quiet these last few months.
Life got busy.
Work got busy.
And if I'm being honest, there were times I wasn't sure what the next step for TrueNorthCore even looked like.
But even when I wasn't posting, people were still supporting.
People were still ordering.
People were still representing the brand.
That means more than I can put into words.
I started TrueNorthCore because I wanted to build something that represented the kind of people I grew up around and spent my life working beside.
The guys getting up at 4 in the morning.
The guys out at camps for weeks and even months at a time.
The guys working in the cold, the mud, the dust, the rain, and the dark.
The guys missing birthdays, anniversaries, and family dinners because that's what the job called for.
The people who don't always get recognized for what they do, but keep showing up anyway.
Those are my people.
That's who this brand is for.
We're still small.
We've got a long way to go.
But one year later, we're still here.
And that's because of you.

To the families holding it down at home while we grind, you’re the backbone.
