Garden Scene

(I think I’m finished this)

I know I said I was finished on this but I just put a few coats of fixative spray to hold the chalk pastel down, and now I want to go over it a bit with soft pastels to darken it up a bit and give the flowers some more detail 🤔

When is a painting ever finished? It can be difficult for an artist to decide when a piece is done.

Looks nice in a frame 👍

Another garden scene. Peonies.

Starting with a quick acrylic underpainting. Rough composition and shapes.

I think I’ll layer in some more acrylic as a base and put some oil pastels on top for texture and detail. More to come.
