My incentive to get back into the Photography game…capturing golden hour engagement photos for these 2 lovebirds❤️❤️ It was an absolute honour & so much fun!

Some of my fav. shots from our recent trip to B.C. taken with my “good camera” (not iphone). Although, I was able to capture many great shots with my phone, my camera shots prevailed. A little LR editing on some of coarse! Note: I did add one completely raw unedited shot in this gallery that I captured of the sunset in Victoria with my iphone.

I caught this Red-tailed Hawk perched on a wire in my backyard. I quickly grabbed my camera which had my 85 mm lens ready to go. I wasn’t able to get quite as close as I would’ve liked, but thought it was pretty cool that this guy seemed to be waiting until I was finished the photo shoot before he took off.

It has been super chilly, so trying to make sessions short & sweet, we can still create some magic! Here’s some of my fav’s from this family session.

Tip: bring lots of layers, be prepared to cuddle up, and have hot cocoa ready for after the shoot!

My favourite subject to practice on is my hubby. Fairly cooperative and non-judgemental.
