Green Party of Canada Condemns U.S. Actions in Venezuela as Violation of International Law – Green Party Of Canada The Green Party of Canada, in solidarity with the Federation of Green Parties of the Americas (FPVA), strongly condemns all military actions, including the kidnapping of Nicolas Maduro, carried out by the United States government on Venezuelan territory on January 3, 2026. 

While China races ahead with record-breaking solar farms and falling costs, the U.S. under Trump is rolling back renewables (blocking projects, cutting tax credits, and slowing clean energy growth). Around the world, from India to Saudi Arabia to South Africa, solar is booming, but fossil fuels still dominate. The transition is real, but incomplete and vulnerable.
