2020 eh....
What a year this has been; expanding to prepared meal delivery, shutting that down to stay home with my kiddo, to reopening to in-home clients only, to my personal life taking a left turn.
Back to Basic Eats has seen many shapes and forms over the years, but this year has been the most interesting, and full of choices.
As of November 30, 2020 Back to Basic Eats will cease operations and will not be reopening. This was a choice that ultimately has my best interest at heart. This account will still be active but with a personal & fun focus.
I’m grateful for my clients, mentors and colleagues whom have helped me in various ways along this journey.

Although it’s not officially fall, it’s close enough and nothing like a slice of Apple Cinnamon Bread with a “caramel” drizzle to really make it feel like fall 🍎🍂

Summer in a Bowl
With the last few weeks of summer showing us it’s beautiful bounty this salad can incorporate all of it.
Corn, cucumbers and green onions from Honeyberry Farm.
Cherry tomatoes and parsley weren’t looking the greatest, and needed to be used and topped off with some goat cheese, pepper & olive oil.

This week has been a week, but grateful to be doing what I love and helping nourish people’s bodies, creating an experience for a girl’s weekend and batch cooking gluten free meals for someone who lost their significant other.
Also super grateful for leftover gluten free/Paleo/W30 fried chicken- not as crispy, but still delish.

About Last Night, this dinner was inspired by summer- light, refreshing and flavourful.

Oh hey there friends! It’s been a minute since I have an update on where Back to Basic Eats is at these days.
As most of the world is adjusting to new Covid-19 measures there’s a lot more coming to light; Black Lives Matter, Indigenous Lives Matter, Child Trafficking and so many more that it’s not even the tip of the iceberg. I’ve been reading, unlearning and learning a lot and having conversations. This is definitely a priority in my life, both personally and professionally.
As for Back to Basic Eats, I have decided to not continue with prepared meal delivery and will be focusing on in-home meal prep- as it stands now I have room for 2-3 more clients depending on needs and frequency.
I’m still working towards my goal of becoming a Whole30 Certified Coach. I will be running a small group for the month of September. I will share more details in August.
