Pink Sky at Proposal Peak, Medicine Lake, Jasper NP
| This past fall while visiting Yosemite, I met , he witnessed the before and after of me knocking my camera off a ledge in the park. That morning he was kind enough to get me a coffee and a danish, after talking for quite a while we ended up shooting more together in the park. During dinner time editing sessions, he inspired me to experiment with new styles and editing. He also showed me the work of some fellow Alberta photographers that was quite impressive. After discovering this location through lurking the work of I’ve been trying to get here for some decent lighting, after four visits and three duds, I finally got something I’m pretty happy with. This shot was a long time coming, but I’m still antsy to keep visiting this location. 🍻

Really enjoying getting up for the sunrise over the last few months. After living in the mountains for almost a year now, I’ve learned they can definitely be hit, but often miss. So it’s quite rewarding when the atmospheric conditions line up. 🌄

Wolf moonrise above Lake Ontario. 🌕
It feels like it’s been eons since this fu**in virus was fresh in our minds.
Nightly, around now, condominium residents all over the city would yell, yodel, sing, and bang pots & pans. This was to signal support for the array of frontline workers during the lockdown.
That night, by chance I went out to go listen and noticed this scene to the left. Scrambled to get my camera gear, and used the 80-200mm “Magic Drainpipe” to snipe it from a distance.

Waking up to the hues of a is something you don’t forget. The tree trunks were lit purple and red and the sky was diffused of the same colours
