Fabian is a happy, outgoing guy who seems to think everyone he meets is his new best friend! He loves people, affection, playtime, and being included in whatever his family is doing. He greets everyone with a big smile and wagging tail and is always ready to make a new friend.

Fabian also loves other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion, though not required. He enjoys adventures and regular exercise but is equally happy settling in for some couch cuddles and relaxing at home.

He can get a little overexcited when greeting people or seeing other dogs, so he’s working on keeping his paws on the ground and walking nicely when something exciting catches his attention. He is otherwise an easygoing, affectionate boy with no noted resource guarding or separation anxiety and is doing wonderfully with his house training.

Snickers is a quirky, smart, food-motivated sweetheart who is always ready for his next adventure - especially if it involves a walk, a backyard zoomie session, a squeaky toy, or a good chin scratch! He is a social boy who likes people, dogs, and even cats, and once he gets comfortable, he is happiest being part of the action.

Snickers is incredibly smart and learns quickly, especially when treats are involved. He recognizes routines and definitely believes his humans should stick to the schedule! If dinner is late, don’t be surprised if he starts tossing his empty bowl around to remind you that someone appears to have forgotten an important part of the day.

He is curious about his surroundings and loves investigating anything new in the house. He also has a hilarious love of blankets and enjoys burrowing and rolling around underneath them. After he’s gotten his exercise and playtime in, Snickers is more than happy to settle down and cuddle with his people.

Lila's journey has been nothing short of inspiring. When she first arrived in foster care, she wouldn't even come out from behind the couch. After spending a couple of months learning that people can be kind and trustworthy, she has blossomed into a loving, playful, and affectionate girl who is finally ready to find the family she's always deserved. Lila is a sweet, medium-energy dog who enjoys both playtime and relaxing at home. Once she feels safe, her personality shines. She loves other dogs, enjoys active play, and is happiest with canine companions around. She's also quite the cuddle bug and has a habit of jumping into laps whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Because of her past, Lila can be shy when meeting new people and is a bit head-shy. She may hang back initially and needs time to build trust, but she warms up quickly when given patience and gentle reassurance. Her foster describes her as incredibly loving once she knows she's safe.

Lila enters her crate willingly, and sees her crate as a safe space. She eagerly heads outside when it's time for potty breaks, and comes right back when called. She is still learning leash skills and is more comfortable in a home with a yard where she can continue building confidence at her own pace.

She would thrive in a patient, understanding home that can continue helping her build confidence. She would do best with adults or older teens and would benefit from having another friendly dog in the home. She is not recommended as a first dog for inexperienced owners, simply because she still needs someone willing to invest a little extra time and patience as she continues learning how wonderful life as a cherished family member can be.

Lilah has come so far from the fearful dog who hid behind a couch. She has learned to trust, to play, and to love. Now she's ready for the next chapter: a forever home that will continue showing her just how special she truly is. Patience and time are the key to winning Lilah's heart. Good with children 7–15: Yes — although he has not lived with children. His foster is comfortable placing him in a home with dog savvy children due to no concerns with guarding, movement, noise, or fear reactivity around people.
How does Snickers typically act when meeting new people? Snickers is friendly and social with people and approaches new people happily.
Is Snickers skittish or a flight risk? Yes. As with all rescue dogs, appropriate precautions should be taken, but Snickers is considered particularly flighty and his new family will need to be diligent about doors, gates, leashes, and introductions while he settles in.

Good with dogs: Yes — Snickers is a social butterfly! He can be very excited when meeting another dog and may bark, jump, and act overly enthusiastic during the initial introduction. His trainer believes this is excitement barking rather than aggression. Once he has had an opportunity to sniff and properly meet the other dog, he quickly settles into wanting to play.
Snickers has successfully gotten along with dogs of different sizes and temperaments. He doesn’t appear particularly selective about his canine friends — if they are willing to play, he’s interested!
Because he loves canine companionship so much, we do recommend another friendly, playful dog in his forever home.

Good with cats: Yes — Snickers has lived successfully with a cat.
He can initially be a little pushy and overly interested, but he is capable of learning and respecting boundaries. After the resident cat made it very clear that Snickers needed to give some personal space, he learned the message and backed off appropriately.

Crate training: Snickers enters his crate with some coaxing and settles quickly and quietly once inside.

House training: Snickers is approximately 90% house trained and is very close to being fully reliable.

Resource guarding: Snickers has displayed some resource guarding around food/high-value treats with other dogs.
If another dog attempts to steal a treat from him, he may growl, but he does not escalate or fight. Instead, he will generally move away. His foster can safely remove food from his mouth, and he knows the command “drop it” and responds to it approximately 90% of the time.
As always, his new family should continue to manage food and high-value treats appropriately, particularly around other dogs.

Leash skills: Snickers walks well on leash but can display leash reactivity toward other dogs.
His excitement can make him bark or become overly enthusiastic when another dog is nearby, so continued work on calm leash behaviour will be important.

Energy level: Medium.
Snickers enjoys regular walks, exercise, adventures, and opportunities to run and explore, but he is also capable of relaxing calmly in the home once his needs have been met.
He still gets the occasional daily zoomies and really enjoys having grass to run around on, so a backyard would be ideal for him.

Areas to work on:

• Appropriate management around high-value treats with other dogs

Separation anxiety: None noted

Barker: Snickers is somewhere between medium and high in terms of barking.
When his exercise and stimulation needs are being met, his barking is much more manageable. He may bark when someone comes to the door, while playing, or when excited.
However, if he hasn’t had a proper walk or sufficient stimulation for a few days, his barking can increase significantly. He may bark for attention or essentially demand that someone take him for a walk.
For this reason, a home that is prepared to provide him with regular exercise, enrichment, and access to a backyard will be the best fit.

Found as a stray, Amber has come a long way and brings fun and joy into every room she enters. She has a lively spirit, a sharp mind, and goofy charm. She thrives with structure, engagement, and a human who enjoys an active routine.

Amber wakes up every day ready for fun and connection. Amber loves to play fetch and run around the backyard, in fact she has been known to be so gleeful that she will go all-out with a case of zoomies. She has a favorite squeaky ball that brings out her happy dance moves. On the flip side, Amber loves a good belly rub and absolutely melts with affection.

Amber would like a fenced yard so she can run and stretch her legs daily, with plenty of space to play and unwind - but yards aren’t everything, and it’s just important that her needs are met. She loves to play with other dogs and does best with regular activity and a home that enjoys her playful personality. NOT a fan of loud noises, Amber prefers a calm suburban environment where she can relax. She will spook easily.

Amber is friendly and enthusiastic, but can also be anxious. She loves kids, and a household with older children would be best (so she doesn't accidentally knock a little one over).

Amber is crate trained, house trained, and great on car rides. She has had excellent behavior at the vet and groomer, especially if showered with a treat or two. She loves rearranging couch cushions into her personal throne.

Smart, eager, and fun to train. Amber will thrive with an adopter who has dog experience, enjoys an active routine, likes training and enrichment, has a fenced yard and lives in a relatively quiet area. She can pull on her leash when startled by loud noises and looks to her owner for calm leadership and confidence building.

Dogs 40lb+ are in DESPERATE NEED!!

Summers tend to be slow, with people on vacation and unable to commit, but with fall just around the corner (how is it almost fall!?) we’re hoping that we can welcome some new foster families to the team!

Unfortunately there is no “slow season” when it comes to dogs in need - our partners continue to burst at the seams and desperately need help.
