Building permit values in Canada were down 8.4% in February compared with January.
Residential: The total value was up 1.7% month over month. 🏡
Non-residential: The total value was down 24.0% month over month.
Single-family dwellings: the total value was $2,692 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 1.6% or $44.7 million.
Multi-family dwellings: the total value was $5,440 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 3.4% or $180.3 million.
Industrial: the total value was $985 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 9.6% or $104.7 million.
Commercial: the total value was $2,048 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 7.2% or $160.0 million.
Institutional: the total value was $929 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 51.5% or $987.2 million.
