🏗️ From a hole in the ground to the beginning of someone’s future home. 🏡
Last Friday’s view from the job site. Foundation walls are up, the weather cooperated ☀️, and the waterfront view certainly didn’t hurt 🌲🌊.
Every project starts with a solid foundation 💪, and this one is shaping up to be something special.

🏗️ Fun Fact!
Concrete doesn’t actually “dry” the way most people think it does… it cures. 👀
Once water and cement are mixed together, a chemical reaction begins that slowly builds strength over time.
That process is called curing — and it’s what turns fresh concrete into the strong, long-lasting material we rely on every day. 💪
We love seeing our team grow and take on new opportunities 👏
We’re proud to share that one of our own has started up his own venture — please help us show some support by checking out his page! 🙌
He’s been a valued part of our crew and consistently brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a great attitude to every job. We know he’ll carry that same level of quality and care into this new chapter 💪
If you’re planning any residential concrete work this spring, he’s a great choice to have on your list — be sure to give his page a follow and reach out! 🏡✨
Excited to see what’s ahead and proud to support him along the way! 🎉

" Back in my day…” 👴
We used 2x4s, built a brace, added a foot on the end, and called it good 😅
These days, we use push & pulls 💪
They’re used to support walls while the concrete cures, and can be adjusted to keep everything straight and in place.
Same idea — just a little more control.
Old school still gets it done… we’ve just added a few upgrades along the way 😉

Snow today… seriously? ❄️😅
Looks like Easter is having to fight a little harder this year 🐰🌷Either way, we’re getting into the spirit here at Excel Foundations!

☘️ Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the Excel team! ☘️
Fun fact: Back in Ireland, many of the oldest stone structures and foundations have stood strong for hundreds of years — a testament to skilled tradespeople who knew that quality work stands the test of time. 🇮🇪💪
Here’s to building things that last, taking pride in our craft, and maybe finding a little luck along the way. 🍀✨

If these walls could talk, they’d tell the story of our community.
For generations, this church has stood at the heart of West Chezzetcook. Now, as many of you know, we’re working to restore it as a place to preserve our Acadian heritage and bring people together once again.
This isn’t just another construction project for us. Our team has donated time, resources, and countless late nights because we believe this building matters.
We were raised here. We’ve built our lives here. West Chezzetcook isn’t just where we work — it’s home. It’s where generations of our family has grown, where we know our neighbors by name, and where showing up for the community is simply something us " West Siders" do.
If this place holds memories for you — if you believe in preserving our heritage for the next generation — please consider donating and sharing this post.
Let’s bring these doors back open. Together. 💛

A look behind the scenes at a recent foundation pour.
From formwork and shoring to placing the concrete itself, every step—and every piece of equipment—plays a role in building something that lasts, even when Mother Nature decides to join the crew. 😄❄️
Watching the pump in action is always impressive and allows us to place concrete efficiently & accurately, even in tight spaces and true winter conditions. Big thanks to OSCO Construction Group / OSCO Concrete and Aggregates for always having our back on a pour! 🤝
Strong foundations start long before the walls go up, and this was another solid one in the books. 💪
