❤️ Back to the botanicals. These soft pink leaves have been calling to me lately. 🌸 There's something about capturing spring's colors in glass that never gets old.

❤️ Sometimes we just need a little magic. These four showed up this week. A tiny herd of unicorns.
Do you ever surprise yourself with what you create?

❤️ Not every day calls for bright colors and whimsy. Sometimes we need something a bit darker, more contemplative. This raven came out of the kiln with that silvery-dark finish that I can never quite predict.

Do you gravitate toward light and bright, or do you love the moody and dramatic? xo • Kim

❤️ In my mind's eye, I had a different plan for this piece, but once that little bird came out of the kiln, everything else had to adapt to match his personality. 🐦

The openwork frame, the leaves, the elf cups - all evolved around him. Sometimes the best pieces happen when you let go of the original plan. ❤

❤️ Sometimes I surprise myself with what comes out of the kiln. This little frog definitely wasn't what I had planned - he's way more colorful and whimsical than I expected! 🐸

Those big eyes make me smile. There's something freeing about letting a piece take on its own personality instead of forcing it to match what's in your head.
