June was a VERY busy month for the TTP! We completed 9 ORHBS breeders’ hygienic testing, and one OBBA member! We held two great workshops: Establishing a Queen and Nuc Production Business and a Queen Rearing workshop. Thank you to Restoration Honey Bee Company for hosting our workshops! We also attended 2 great bbqs hosted by the Grand River Beekeepers’ Association and the Upper Ottawa Valley Beekeepers’ Association, as well as continued the Greenlight trial.

July is gearing to also be a busy month, so stay tuned for new updates!

Over the past several months, the TTP has been working on creating three new business courses to help beekeepers understand the business side of operating a nuc and queen rearing business!!

We wanted to thank the following people for helping us create our business courses either through editing or through providing valuable insight into queen rearing and nuc production.

Last month Meg, one of our Technicians left the TTP. Though we are sad to see her go, we’re so excited to see where the future takes her, as we know she’ll go on to do wonderful things!

Meg had a huge impact during her time at TTP. She created our lovely brand, taught workshops, conducted research, helped develop our three new courses and manuals, ran our social media pages, and always brought the vibes up whenever she was around!

All of us from the TTP team thank you Meg for your hard work over the last two years!!
