GP Tech is not replacing other schools. It is adding another public education option for families in our region.
Every student learns differently, and GP Tech is designed to support students who may benefit from a more hands-on, career-focused learning environment alongside strong academics.
The goal is not to compete with other schools. The goal is to give families another pathway and another choice within public education.

Many parents have been asking about class sizes and student support at GP Technical Institute.
GP Tech is designed to offer a more personalized learning environment.
Class sizes are expected to be around 25 students, which allows for:
- More one-on-one support
- Better collaboration
- Stronger student connections
- Safer hands-on learning environments
Students will also have access to support systems that focus on both learning and well-being.
Our goal is to create an environment where students feel supported, engaged, and confident as they build skills for the future.

It was a tremendous honour to welcome Mayor Clayton and members of City Council to Grande Prairie Technical Institute for an inspiring and meaningful visit with our team.
