Happy Monday! You all just keep bringing me the sweetest babies! This first photo was one of the first photos of our session and if that doesn't just feel like winning the "starting off strong" lottery! 9 days new

This sweet couple was celebrating both their college/university graduations and wanted to include their families. We started with some celebratory extended family photos and finished up with a few of just the two of them. So fun!

Let't talk about scheduling for light a little bit; often when having scheduling conversations with my wonderful clients I get asked "what's the best time?".. I will always suggest about an hour to an hour and a half before sunset. My dream family sessions are booked around the wonderful glowy light that comes with that time of day. However, when booking a milestone I ALWAYS suggest we plan for your child's happiest time of day, which for these little ones is typically mid-morning. This spring & summer I have been forcing myself to make it work outside for a few of these little posers. And I LOVE these. They aren't that sunset glow, and there will always be restrictions to full sun, you won't often catch me out in a field, always open shade.. but it's definitely doable!

As our days get shorter, this becomes less of an issue.. but if you have been avoiding a summer session because you don't want to keep your kiddos up until 9 or 10 pm - maybe their happiest time of day is the answer!
