| MakeResolveDeb When you download Resolve or Resolve Studio for Linux you will get an installer made for the Rocky Linux / CentOS / RHEL system described in the Resolve configuration guide. That is the only officially supported configuration.

Another step on my AI journey. I now have Stable Diffusion installed on my local Linux Mint system running CPU only. I have much to learn, but it’s all coming together. Yesterday I got OLLAMA 3.3 installed and running along with several other models.

Thank goodness I setup Time Shift on my Linux.
Luckily I was able to restore my system from backup in a few minutes. I didn’t have to redo very much. I’ve been continuing to tweak and update. Until I get a lot more proficient in Linux, I’ll be backing up my system automatically every hour instead of once a day.

I just love the customization I can do in Linux. I think I’ve settled on my desktop settings.

Well, an abrupt change with my ProxMox Linux project. It turns out I don’t have a free slot for a 2nd GPU so I can’t setup GPU pass through to a virtual machine. So, running Linux in a VM with full direct, hardware access won’t work.

When I discovered this issue I just decided to keep the Debian distro and just use it as my daily driver. Unfortunately I really don’t know what I’m doing half the time in Linux lol. When I was trying to solve a flatpak issue I nuked my desktop.

So, given I can’t use ProxMox in the way I wanted I decided to wipe my drive and just install Linux mint. It’s going much better this time. Getting there.

Arrgggg. I was trying to manually install some packages in Debian and something happened. I couldn’t boot into my desktop anymore. Since I can’t use ProxMox in the way I wanted to because of lack of hardware, I’m installing Linux Mint and will install ProxMox onto Linux mint if it will let me, otherwise I’ll use another virtualizer.

Oh well, this will get me much closer to the daily driver Linux distro I wanted. I can now use my new knowledge to finish setting stuff up quickly. It’s a bummer to lose days of work, frustration and sweat lol, but it’s a better solution now that ProxMox won’t do exactly what I had in mind until I can upgrade my hardware.

On the good side, I’ve noticed my system runs more that twice as fast on Linux. Definitely worth the effort
