MTL à Table: Spanish Tapas at Bo Dégât 01/03/2026

One more review (mostly photos): Spanish tapas at Bo Dégât in Montreal

MTL à Table: Spanish Tapas at Bo Dégât MTL à Table: Spanish Tapas at Bo Dégât January 3, 2026 MissWattson Leave a Comment I’d been meaning to try the tapas at Bo Dégât for years. While I’ve never been to Spain, I went with an expert for the insider’s opinion. We agreed, everything was rich and flavourful in the best ways. The ...

Mtl à Table 2025: BYOB at Les Cabotins 12/13/2025

An Apportez Votre Vin in Montreal that I actually recommend? There are a couple these days, and this is one.

Mtl à Table 2025: BYOB at Les Cabotins Mtl à Table 2025: BYOB at Les Cabotins December 13, 2025 MissWattson Leave a Comment I used to get asked a lot what the best Apportez votre vin restaurant (BYOB) in Montreal was and I’d wrinkle my nose and keep quiet, but now I have a better, less snooty answer: Les Cabotins in Hochelaga-Maisonne...

Gluten-Free Feast at Shabu Shabu Kagayaki 12/12/2025

My favourite dining experience in Montreal of this year!! It's not fancy or super expensive and it was delicious.

Gluten-Free Feast at Shabu Shabu Kagayaki Gluten-Free Feast at Shabu Shabu Kagayaki December 11, 2025 MissWattson Leave a Comment I can’t stop raving about Shabu Shabu Kagayaki, an easy-to-miss Japanese hotpot restaurant in Montreal’s Chinatown. I don’t even eat beef or pork, the meats that are specially sliced for the nabumono prepar...

A Friend to Make Soup With (Plus Soup Recipes) 10/24/2025

An early-morning soliloquy on friendship and soup. Short and sweet.

A Friend to Make Soup With (Plus Soup Recipes) A Friend to Make Soup With (Plus Soup Recipes) October 24, 2025 MissWattson Leave a Comment I’m lying in bed at 5 a.m. on a Friday morning, unable to get back to sleep, with a day of looming ahead of me, and I realize that, since moving to Gatineau from Montreal 3 years ago, I haven’t made a fri...

My first time at Vin Mon Lapin. Likely my last? Likely the fault of my food intolerances. Check out the photos and my thoughts here: https://www.multiculturiosity.com/vin-mon-lapin/

First real trad fall! Bomber gear. #1 in a beautiful vertical crack. Just couldn’t be comfy in my non-trad-friendly shoes and got nervous. The next photo shows all my gear, pre-fall. I won’t make falling a regular occurrence in trad, don’t worry.

Ask to find out what routes these are because I have an awful memory. The last video is the 12b on the far left at the colosseum. The part I did is probably like 11a-b, but it’s heady. I just didn’t have the reach to clip behind me or the power to do the move without a big break before, which you can’t really get without the clip. Apparently this was rebolted and made MORE reachy. I’m going to assume that’s because it was the safest place for the bolt, not because the rebolter didn’t think about short people.

Gluten-Free Michelin Star Food from Nadia Sammut at Montréal en Lumière 2025 Gluten-Free Michelin Star Food from Nadia Sammut at Montréal en Lumière 2025 March 18, 2025 MissWattson Leave a Comment Michelin-Star and “Gluten-Free” are not words that often go together. Sure, a Michelin Star restaurant has enough skill in the kitchen to adapt a meal for a gluten-free diner...

This one's not about food. But there's a video of all the animals we saw in Kruger National Park on safari.
