It is finding someone who thinks sitting beside a fire at sunset is a perfect day. Someone who doesn’t need constant entertainment, fancy plans, or a reason to hurry. Someone who can sit quietly, look at the mountains, and know this is already enough.

That kind of person makes the simple life feel full.

I don't need a mansion.

I don't need a yacht.

Just give me a campsite, a campfire, and a map with places I haven't explored yet.

There was a time when staying up late meant music, crowds, and pretending you weren’t tired.

Now it means calculating whether a 22-minute campsite nap will give you enough energy to sit by the fire until 8:47 p.m.

Honestly, this might be the better version. A slow morning by the van, coffee that tastes better because you’re outside, a beach chair in the shade, and absolutely no pressure to prove you’re fun after dark.

Van life teaches you to respect the rhythm of the day. Wake up with the sun, wander somewhere beautiful, eat something simple, sit around doing almost nothing, then take a little nap like it’s a scheduled wilderness activity.

We may not party like we used to, but give us a good campsite, a quiet view, and a perfectly timed nap, and we can still have the time of our lives.
