Do you know a senior who deserves a moment in the spotlight?

In every issue of the Exeter Examiner, we highlight a local senior through our Senior of the Week section.

This isn't just for avid volunteers or community leaders. We want to celebrate ALL seniors. Whether it's your neighbour, your parent, your grandparent, your friend or anyone who would love to see themselves in the pages of their local paper, we at the Examiner want to make their day.

To nominate someone (or yourself) simply send a photo and a few sentences about them to [email protected] or message us directly on Facebook.

We've had a lot of questions asking where our readers can pick up copies of the Exeter Examiner.

Here's a map of locations in the community where you'll find the paper.

An updated list of locations is also available on our website (which we can't link on Facebook due to the platform's news ban) if you'd prefer that format.

The second issue of the Exeter Examiner is here, and this one's for the people who feed us.

Our 2026 Farm Edition is hitting the streets today, packed with stories about local farmers, the agricultural industry and everything that matters to the folks who keep the grocery shelves stocked day in and day out.

The response to our first issue blew us away. Your kind words, your encouragement and your willingness to pick up a copy and give it a read means everything to this team. We made this issue with you in mind.

Thank you for being part of what we're building. We can't wait to hear what you think.

The Exeter Examiner is officially out in the world! Our first issue hit stands across the region today, and you can also read it online through our website (which Facebook seems unhappy with us sharing.)

We poured everything we had into this one. Whether you're looking for heartwarming local stories, sports coverage, puzzles and games or the latest on council, there's something in the Examiner for everyone.

None of this would have been possible without this community's incredible support. The encouragement, the kind words and the shares on social media. Every bit of it kept us going.

This community deserves a paper that reflects the people who live here, and your enthusiasm reminded us of that every step of the way.

This is just the beginning. We can't wait to keep telling your stories.

As a true community paper, we at the Exeter Examiner are looking to engage with our readers in creative ways as we prepare for our first issue on March 12. That’s why we’re planning to hit the newsstands with some fun opportunities where you’ll have a chance of being featured in the paper.

Senior of the Week: Are you a senior, or is there a senior in your life who would love to be highlighted in the Examiner? We’ll be featuring a local senior, including a photo and a short paragraph about them (birthday, hometown, family members, hobbies, etc.) as we aim to recognize some of the folks who call this amazing community their home.

Pet of the Week: Do you have a furry friend who you think would light up the pages of the Examiner? Send us your cutest snapshots of your pets, let us know their name and age, and you may see them featured in an upcoming issue.

White Squirrel Watch: We all tend to keep our eyes open for Exeter’s iconic white squirrels throughout town. If you happen to stumble across one, snap a photo and send it to us. You just might see your photo featured in the next issue of the Examiner.

Submissions to any of these sections can be emailed to [email protected].

We're live!

The Exeter Examiner webpage is up and running. Though our first issue won't be hitting the streets until March 12, we're already out chasing stories in the community that we'll be sharing through our site in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately, Facebook's ban on posting news makes it a little challenging to share what we create through this channel, but we're doing what we can to make sure that you're able to find us.

You can read the Exeter Examiner online at exeterexaminer.com.

Thank you everyone for the incredible support you've shown us so far. We can't wait to share some of the amazing stories this community has to offer.
