Took a bit of extra time on the way to work this morning to listen to and try to photograph some birds in the river valley. This little fellow was actually pretty easy to spot for a warbler!

Lake Ontario is the smallest of the Great Lakes, but I'm always in awe of how big it is nonetheless.
I'm also always in awe of how far the urban skyline of the Golden Horseshoe extends along its shores; the Mississauga skyline is seen here.

Another one from the archives. This Blue Jay, one of a nearby nest that had several babies last summer, sits perched on a rain gutter, looking like they're just over it (whatever "it" was...maybe their yelly demanding fledgelings).
