In Stitches

This healing journey continues, and I have been feeling better mentally and physically as I work through so many things.

We will be reopening the shop tomorrow September 1st, and working on a limited basis as we continue to wind things down. This will probably take some time as there is a lot to sort and go through, it could take me all winter.

Will know more about the physical aspects after my doctor's appointment this week, as to what has been going on.

Just can't over do it, and maintain some balance between this, the day job, and some personal issues.

Getting rest has been so important, and being able to take better care of my mental and physical health.

I have some really good friends here and out in the real world, and am so grateful to those who have reached out with support.

It will be a few weeks until I know what has been going on with me physically, feeling mentally stronger than I was, as other things resolve.

Have lost 14 pounds in the past 3 months, despite eating well, sleeping well, and remaining reasonably active.

Hope it is just something that can be resolved, and not something else.

I look terrible here.. maybe it was just bad lighting. But that shirt used to be a lot more snug.

Will see where I am at when I go for mh next weigh in.

Still a work on progress her, processing grief, getting resettled, and getting moving.

After much reflection, we have decided that over the coming months we will be winding things down.

Recent life changes, mental and physical health issues, and shifting priorities mean I just don't have the time or energy I once had.

I kept trying to find it, that spark I once had.

It isn't there.

It was always a struggle and just got harder to find a balance with work and a family, and you never know just how any more sunsets you will be able to enjoy.

I have enjoyed our time together and the many friends I have made, I treasure that more than anything.

I will be booking appointments for pickups on the weekends, as there are machines that need to go home.

Everything will be going up for sale and hope other people can enjoy this collection we have built over nearly two decades.

FFAF rolls around again... you know you haven't been okay when your bike has sat until the end of June. Washed it, checked all the fluids, and tyres and rode a bit.

It has been a really hard couple of weeks, should be getting tests next week.

This past week has been a journey I wasn't expecting to take, and I don't know where this story will take us.

The page is blank and I have a lot of work to do.

I know it isn't Friday but just wanted to make a quick update that I have been extremely ill for almost three weeks.

And it is probably worse than I think.

Will likely need some tests run to determine exactly what is amiss.

We'd like to wish all our friends and family a happy and joyous Easter, and say that we are ready to come out of hibernation here in the far north, after what has been a very long winter.

It was with the greatest of sadness that on Wednesday, we took Jenny for her last ride, so she could cross that rainbow bridge.

She turned 14 at the beginning of the month, and prior to that she was diagnosed with cancer.

Best dog... ever.
