OpenCircle Contractors Association remains committed to supporting the people in our industry, including our Indigenous peers, colleagues and neighbours.
Today is an important day to acknowledge and honour the First Nations, Inuit and Metis people who have been and continue to be affected by the legacy of residential schools: for those who have survived, and those who never made it home. Let us take the time to learn and reflect on the history and impact of residential schools as we work toward reconciliation.

The buildings we work in, the roads we travel, and the spaces where our communities gather all begin with the people behind construction.
This National Construction Appreciation Week, we're recognizing the skilled professionals, leaders, innovators, and teams whose hard work turns plans into reality. Their dedication strengthens our communities, drives economic growth, and helps build a better future for all Albertans.
To everyone working across the construction industry: thank you for your commitment, expertise, and pride in your craft. Your work makes a lasting impact every day.

Today marks the beginning of Construction Su***de Prevention Week. In an industry built on grit and determination, we often need to remind ourselves that our struggles do not make us weak. Recent data from the Center for Construction Research and Training shows that su***de and drug-related deaths in the industry have begun to decline, but countless lives are still lost to su***de every year. Awareness can be monumental to helping our colleagues and friends in the industry feel supported and safe.
