Heavy rainfall can lead to water damage fast. If your home comfort equipment has been exposed, here’s what to do next:

🛠️ Turn off electrical switches to your HVAC equipment to prevent electrical surges or short circuits
🛠️ Dry out equipment to prevent mold buildup by opening doors or by using a fan to quicken the drying process
🛠️ Do not turn on your furnace, air conditioner or water heater until they have been inspected by a professional
🛠️ Check to ensure your downspouts are unobstructed and your sump pump is working to help reduce the risk of water buildup

Flood damage can have lasting impacts on your home and equipment — even after the water recedes.
