No A/C call. Quickly identified to problem was a failed capacitor. You can see the top is bulging.

Doing regular maintenance helps identify problems that can lead to larger repairs. Testing this overload revealed it was not working properly and would not break circuit to motor if load was excessive.
It has gotten HOT. Do you need to get the AC running?
Today’s service call is a good reminder to replace - or in this case wash - your furnace filter regularly. The manufacturer recommended to wash this filter every month. Sorry, I don't have pictures but I’m sure you could imagine what 2+ years of dust build up looked like. A furnace with an overloaded filter will have reduced air flow and if the reduction is too much the high limit switch will trip and shut down the furnace for safety reasons.
Looking forward to warmer days. As we get closer to the end of heating season take a moment to think how hard your furnace worked all winter. Good time to check things over before next winter or before you need to turn on the A/C.

Gas valve was getting 24v from control board but wasn’t opening. Traced fault to neutral side fault. Up and running now🔥😁
