So, CRA gives it's website a facelift. I love it! All my CRA accounts accessible from one page. Smart. However, as a I'm in the process of uploading Summaries for my payroll clients. Prior years I'd use 'Rep a client' and upload the xml file. Since the update, I'm receiving the error 'We are unable to process your submission because the transmitter CRA account number given in the attached T619 electronic transmittal record does not match the account number you used to sign in'. Frustrating!! To solve I had to get a WAC for each individual payroll client & upload using CRA Internet file transfer. Just sayin' Love the update, but the glitches I could live without :)

Taxpayers can then review and modify the information on their tax return, if needed, before submitting it.

Currently, the offers 'Let us help you get your benefits'. Credit and benefit short return form.

The end result ... certified as a T1 (Federal Income Tax) Tax Preparer!

The Working Canadians Rebate
I've heard very little about this so far, and again, it appears to be another poorly thought-out measure by our current government. In essence it proposes to provide a -free $250 rebate to each Canadian who worked in 2023 and earned $150,000 or less individual net income, and meets the following requirements...

I really hope it helps, but I'm doubtful. It's going to be a nightmare from a bookkeeping and small retail business owner's perspective.
