VIC Scratching Post

I wasn't able to finish a post for some Very Importanf Cats that were rescued by and adopted, so I gave them a "frankenpost" to use in the meantime. These are posts i put together with extra pieces i have around the shop. They don't seem to mind that the carpets don't match. Thank you for the photos, Monk, Charlie, and Basie.

Here is a small selection of refurbish posts and a scratcher being donated so they can get a new life with The post are solid, but the carpet wears out over time. When I replace posts, I sometimes take back the old ones built by VIC Scratching Post and refurbish them. Since I typically can not match the carpets, they become donations for organizations doing incredible work for animals and pets in need of help, such as Cowicahn Cat Rescue.

I found a perfect match to refurbish this #007-1. It has a new base and is ready for its new owner.

This post was returned to a store not long after it was purchased. I replaced it with a new one and took this one back to repair it. I'm pretty sure a non-furry kid tried to climb it, which is not recommended, and it broke off of the base. I think I've found some carpet that closely matches the original, so I'm going to refurbish it.

It has been nearly 2 years since I took over VIC Scratching Post. I started working under a pop-up tent and out of the back of a trailer, moved operations to a storage locker, and finally to a solid workshop. The workshop now has power and lights and is soon to have a new roof. I will finally be able to build scratching posts in a secure, dry, and warm shop with plenty of light and more than just an extension cord for plugging power tools in.

The new workshop will be great once I can get it set up properly. The first day of the move was just to get everything here.

Moving starts today. My workshop has evolved from the back of a trailer and under a tent, to a storage locker, and now finally to a permanent location in my home workshop. I will be out of commission for a couple of weeks while I get set up.
