π WHY BIOSECURITY MATTERS FOR MOBILE EQUINE PROS
As a practitioner who travels from barn to barn, I follow strict biosecurity to protect every horse I work with. Diseases like EHV-1, strangles, and flu can hitch a ride on clothing or equipment β so prevention isnβt optional.
At The Mane Adjuster, I make sure your horse stays safe and stays moving properly:
β
Freshly disinfected tools for every visit
β
Clean clothes + sanitized boots between barns
β
No shared buckets, brushes, or equipment
β
Hand washing/sanitizer before and after each horse
β
Careful spacing to avoid nose-to-nose contact
Even with strong biosecurity, your horse still gets the full benefit of proper bodywork, improved movement, and better performance β without putting the rest of the herd at risk.
Keeping them healthy, mobile, and feeling their best is always the goal.
Biosecurity and Isolation Guidelines for Horse Owners Biosecurity is critical to limit exposure to infectious disease and the spread after exposure to a contagion. This document is intended as a review for horse owners and horse facilities.

π Client Testimonial Spotlight
Iβm so grateful when clients share their experiences like this. π
Cindy-Lou had me out to work on her herd, including her little mini who had been struggling with pain for nearly 10 years. After his adjustment, she saw him walking, even almost running, like never before β pain free and full of life. π΄β¨
Hereβs what she had to say:
Stories like this are why I do what I do. Helping horses find comfort, balance, and freedom in their bodies is the best reward.
π If your horse is showing stiffness, discomfort, or just not moving like they used to, Iβd love to help them too. Send me a message anytime!

π΄ Did you know your horseβs TMJ could be holding them back?
The TMJ (temporomandibular joint) isnβt just about chewing β it plays a HUGE role in your horseβs comfort, performance, and even willingness to listen under saddle.
When the TMJ is out of balance, you may notice:
β οΈ Difficulty chewing or dropping feed
β οΈ Resistance to the bit or head tossing
β οΈ Stiffness through the poll and neck
β οΈ Trouble relaxing and focusing
By gently adjusting and releasing tension in this joint, we can help your horse:
β
Chew and digest their food more efficiently
β
Accept the bit with softness
β
Improve overall body balance and comfort
β
Stay more relaxed, willing, and responsive
The photos here show just how closely we look at the TMJ during an assessment. A small adjustment can make a big difference in how your horse feels β and how they perform for you.
π Have you noticed your horse dropping grain, resisting the bridle, or chewing unevenly? Send me a message and letβs chat about how bodywork can help.

Congratulations to Allie Sutton ! π
Hereβs what Allie had to say about her experience:
> βJacob is knowledgeable and explains what and why he is doing the adjustments. My horses have definitely improved their performance. The horses are comfortable with him, and Iβve been using him for over a year. He keeps me updated if heβs running late β but that seldom happens! You are welcome to contact me if youβd like.β

π΄ Why Does My Horse Yawn and Chew After an Adjustment?
What youβre seeing here isnβt just a βcute momentβ β itβs actually the horseβs body resetting! π
When I work on a horse, I use gentle chiropractic-style adjustments, massage, and acupressure to release tension, restore balance, and improve overall movement. A big yawn, lick, or chew is the horseβs way of saying:
β
βI feel relief.β
β
βMy nervous system is relaxing.β
β
βMy body can move more freely now.β
These releases are a great sign that your horse is letting go of built-up stress and finding better alignment.
If your horse is showing stiffness, discomfort, or performance issues, this is exactly the kind of transformation we can work toward together. ππββοΈ
