A memory from May 2022.
The Kick Off event for fundraising to bring a wonderful family from Myanmar to CAstlegar where they would finally be safe and have a chance to thrive. Our committee has used the funds to support them fully for a year!
Dad is in the carpentry porgram at Silverking, done mid-July ( let us know of jobs!) and mom has her own cleaning business and studies English 3 days a week. Boys are doing well!
So thankful for all the folks who took part in this and later the International FEstival!!

Good news!!
The family is doing well, and so well that we need a second laptop! Mom and dad are both studying hard to build their future. It can be a loan or a gift. Can be older and basic, just for English classes. If you have one to loan or give let us know!
If you knew Zingmen and Tha Tin (Van Tin) when they were in Castlegar in 2016, come and say hello to them and their 3 girls on Saturday August 2nd!! They are in town to visit their cousin's arrival to safety! Or just come to celebrate this new-to-Canada family living here now.
Come to Kinnaird Park Community Church at 6pm for a spaghetti dinner meet and greet!
It's best if you let us know you're coming!
