Recently, the topic of creating a podcast has been brought to my attention in several different conversations. While I haven’t quite convinced myself that I’m ready to dive into that adventure, I did realize I could still bring these conversations, ideas, and topics to light. I read a post a few days ago that spoke about puzzle pieces—something that, if you know me, you’ve heard me talk about.

Trauma often leaves you feeling as though you’ve been ripped apart into pieces, then it takes those pieces and scatters them in the deepest, darkest corners of your mind and your world. Sometimes, in our desperate attempts to make ourselves feel whole, we hold on desperately to any loose piece close enough to get our hands on—taking on the problems of those around us.

In healing, we have to learn how to let those pieces go. Because when we hold onto things that aren’t ours, what if keeping those pieces hidden actually keeps the answers from someone else? Some puzzles we can only solve to a certain point on our own before we have to lay them down, trusting that the next person who comes along will find their own missing pieces in what we choose to share.

The truth is, none of us—as individuals, individual organizations, or programs—can have all of the answers. We have to work together, share resources, information, connections, and networks.

The bad guys already understand the power of networks; that’s how they thrive. Why haven't we realized that's the exact way to find the answers we need?

That is why I am pleased to introduce you to the latest extension within Inner Panda: Written in Bamboo.

A space where I hope to bring different mindsets into a singular space, with the hopes of sparking conversation. Because we don't have to carry or solve the whole puzzle alone.
