A new resource for parents
Cobweb Design is proud to have completed this infographic site for ECHO, ARCHE, and TREKK Alberta, a coalition of child healthcare groups.
It helps parents prepare for taking a child to the emergency department and is designed to be accessible to a wide range of people including those newer to English.
We did a quick revamp and rushed deployment for the COVID-19 emergency by adding several sections related to current emergency procedures.
If you know a parent who may have to take a child to the ED please share this resource because there are some important things to know before taking a child to the hospital right now.
We're proud to be working with groups making a difference during the pandemic and to share information that will help front line healthcare workers do their jobs safely.
Cobweb developed this accessible site using Bootstrap and created a fulls set of customized vector graphics that recognize the diversity of Canadian families and visuals consistent with healthcare in our hospitals. We also assisted with plain language and accessible language editing to help translate medical information for people without a scientific background.
We loved developing live documents like this, and for digital or offset printing. Contact us for more information.

We tested out some new skills for our latest site to support an Alberta reserach project in immunization support. The site needed to be accessible to people speaking 9 different native languages including traditional Chinese and Arabic. We learned a lot of tricks to lay out a site with languages running in both reading directions Need help with a multilingual site? Get in touch: cobwebdesign.ca
Cobweb is happy to announce we've completed two more web sites (one, a Bootstrap-based infographic, the other WordPress) for our fabulous clients, but we can't share them yet because they are proprietary and awaiting launch! Hope to be able to share links and screenshots soon.
Tamra and Karl will be at Wordcamp 2018 in Calgary this May 10. Hope to meet some new WordPress devs here in the city to share some tips and gripe about Gutenberg :)

We are delighted to announce that Tamra Ross is the recipient of the 2018 Lee d'Anjou Volunteer of the Year Award from Editors Canada.
The award reconigzes Tamra's past contributions to Editors Canada as the designer of the association's national magazine, Active Voice, and as chair of the awards committee, where she helped to establish the Karen Virag Award. And it highlights her current role managing the association's webinar program, which has become one of the largest sources of revenue for the not-for-profit organization.
Building on Karl Low's 2017 win of the Professional Writer's Association of Canada's award, our team is getting noticed!
