The Living Arts Centre is one of only two institutions in Ontario that offer artist residencies for artists specialized in flameworked glass. The other, of course, being Sheridan College that recently (and successfully) fought back against its own extinction-level threat.

In addition to these residency opportunities, the Living Arts Centre offer countless ways beyond work spaces that help artists make a living- like the opportunity to teach classes and and engage with the community through public outreach and events. Losing the Living Arts Centre simply to put up some Square One adjacent condos would be a travesty beyond words- and certainly par for the course when it comes to they way Ontario seems to (de)value its incredibly talented, resilient, and skilled creative communities.
