Did you know…

Brain damage can occur within four minutes if a person's blood flow stops. After four minutes, brain cells will be seriously damaged without intervention.

The risk of brain damage from cardiac arrest increases with the amount of time a person's brain is deprived of oxygen:

* 0–4 minutes: Unlikely to develop brain damage
* 4–6 minutes: Possibility of brain damage
* 6–10 minutes: High probability of brain damage
* 10+ minutes: Probable brain damage

What can we do?

☑️Empower multi-generations of lifesavers by ensuring more people recognize cardiac arrest, know CPR and take action.
☑️Place more AEDs in public places and ensure they are accessible, maintained, registered and linked with EMS, and extend access to AEDs in private locations.
