Power ‘blips’ or short outages are often our systems jumping into action. When there’s an unexpected outage, our system automatically isolates the problematic section and restores power to as many customers as possible while our crew works to fix the problem.
We get it. It’s tempting to hide that electrical equipment behind some bushes or a shed. But, remember: power equipment should have at least 3 metres of clearance. This makes it safer for everyone, including your family and our crews!
So, please take care when placing those flowerbeds, fence posts, and other items near electrical equipment in your yard, and let your neighbours know to do the same.

A sunny day well spent to support children in our community. ❤️
Last week, ENMAX team members volunteered to replace the sand in the sandbox at the Children’s Cottage Society. These sandboxes support sensory play, helping children build resilience through play. This team has supported this annual refresh for the past five years, helping create a welcoming space for the kids.

Don’t get caught in your home if the power goes out.
Most garage doors have a manual override so you can get your car out even if the power is out. Calgarians experience fewer and shorter outages than many other parts of the country. But, being prepared will help you in case there’s an unplanned outage caused by reasons like a storm.

Here are a few things to keep in mind with text scams:
• Unusual requests: we never ask for personal info or payments/issue refunds via text.
• Urgent tone: scammers create a sense of urgency to manipulate people.
• Suspicious links: don’t click or take any action.
What you can do:
• Call to check: if you ever feel unsure, you can contact us at 310-2010.
• Report: scams can be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
