Alberta has extremely hard-working business owners. Proof!
People ask me what I do with my staging items once I’m done with them. This! It’s a small charity thrift store that services a small town in Alberta.

A question I get asked often is “what do you do with the staging items after you’re done with them?” This! I donate 99% of my staging items to this thrift store that helps a small rural town.

City of Calgary AUCTION for homes with unpaid taxes. April 23rd at City Hall.
Calgary homeowners already feel like they’re paying a mortgage directly to the city… now some are about to lose the house too.
The City of Calgary is preparing to auction off several properties — including some valued at over $1 million — after owners failed to pay their property taxes for multiple years.
Here’s what’s happening 👇
👉 The auction will take place April 23 at Calgary City Hall in the municipal building atrium
👉 Properties on the list are at least three years behind on property taxes
👉 If taxes remain unpaid, the city can legally seize and sell the property to recover the debt
👉 Some homes heading to auction are reportedly worth over $1 million
Typically, owners still have time to pay the outstanding taxes before the auction date to remove their property from the list — but if not, the homes go to the highest bidder.
So if you’ve ever wanted to buy Calgary real estate the old-fashioned way — standing in City Hall bidding against strangers like it’s Storage Wars — April 23 might be your day.
