Hi, I’m Eric — also known as Rick or Grumpa! 😊 I’ve been a proud NE Calgary resident for the past four years. I’m a retired millwright, and my wife and I have two wonderful daughters and five amazing grandchildren between the ages of 0 and 6. 💕👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I love helping out wherever I can — whether that’s delivering food, lending a hand, or supporting local families. Being part of NE Calgary Moms gives me the chance to stay involved, give back, and connect with this incredible community. 🙌

We’re so grateful for Eric’s kindness, generosity, and hands-on spirit. He brings warmth (and plenty of “Grumpa” wisdom!) to our team and reminds us that community is built through care and action. 🌟

🎃 Meet Our Director of Community Outreach & Partnerships — James! 🎃

James is a devoted father, grandfather, and community activist known for his deep love of Halloween and his passionate dedication to improving the lives of those around him. Whether it’s organizing community events or simply lending a helping hand, James has spent much of his life making a positive impact on his neighborhood while setting a powerful example for his children and grandchildren. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💪

As a proud family man, James takes great pride in his role as a father and grandfather. His love for his family extends beyond simple support; he works to instill in them the importance of civic responsibility, kindness, and community service. Through his volunteer work, James teaches his kids not only the value of helping others but also the impact that small acts of kindness can have on the world. 🌍❤️

One of James’ most cherished contributions to his community is his work with his local Halloween costume library — a unique initiative that allows families to borrow costumes for Halloween celebrations. A lover of the holiday himself, James sees this project as a way to bring joy and creativity to families who might not otherwise have access to costumes. 🎭✨

His dedication to this project reflects his belief in the power of community and the importance of making special moments accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances. 🧡

“Hi, I’m Pauline, proud mom of five amazing adult children and nana to six wonderful grandchildren. 💕

I truly believe it takes a village to raise our children — and that’s why I love being part of NE Calgary Moms. As the group’s treasurer, I’m grateful to help build a caring, supportive space where moms can connect, share, and lift each other up. 🤝✨

When I’m not volunteering or organizing with the group, you’ll usually find me camping, fishing, sewing, thrifting, enjoying concerts, or spending time with my family and friends. 🎣🪡🎶

Roshni is a mother of two children and is born and raised in Calgary. She is an arts administrator, graduate student (focused on data analysis in relation to women), Venture for Canada Fellow and is interested in poverty reduction and equality. Her background is in social impact and making the world better through community advocacy. 🌍💪

As the secretary of NE Calgary Moms, she does the behind-the-scenes work to make sure that everything is organized and ready to go. 📋✨

When she’s not busy volunteering, travelling, or researching, she likes to kick back with a good novel. 📚☕

We’re so grateful for Roshni’s dedication, intellect, and heart for social change. She keeps our community running smoothly and reminds us what it means to make an impact both locally and beyond. 💜

“I’m a proud mom of five who finds great joy in supporting my children, I’m a true sports mom, always cheering loudest from the stands, Starbucks in hand. ☕🏅

Baking is one of my greatest passions, as it allows me to express creativity and spread warmth and love to others. 🍰💛

Beyond family life, I’m dedicated to helping strengthen and uplift my community. I believe in women supporting women and creating safer, more connected neighborhoods where families can thrive.

I have huge compassion for children and families, which has guided much of my community involvement.

“Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a social worker and a mom to one little one here in NE Calgary. I joined NE Calgary Moms because parenting can feel really lonely sometimes, and I deeply believe that we’re not meant to do it by ourselves. I wanted to help build a space where moms can show up, be real, and find support from people who actually get it. This group is about community care, connection, and making sure none of us ever feels like we’re doing this alone. 💕”
