Local, Hand Crafted Cutting Boards
Locally, crafted cutting boards and serving boards, using only the most beautiful and food safe materials.
Carefully sourcing the right finishes are important. You would hope that when you buy a cutting board that the right glue is being used. That the right finish to protect the cutting surface is food safe. That a glue that has been certified for food service is being utilized to make sure that over time the material coming in contact with the ingredients you serve to your friends and family will not be contaminated. Well, Unfortunately this is not true in many cases.
However with my products, made right here in Calgary, all those things which could be contaminating never come near these boards. Mineral oil finishes are used, while these can fade, a simple wipe of fresh mineral oil revives the surface. Wood in-lays or joints are only integrated using the best glue that is safe for food contact and durable enough to withstand years of use.
