Welcome to The Unconventional Collective. I'm Dave Sweet, a former police officer who, for twenty-five years, worked in a large western Canadian police service - the last 14 years specializing in homicide investigations.
In 2023, I took an exciting step forward by founding The Unconventional Collective – an investigation and training agency that brings fresh, innovative approaches to traditional investigation and crime prevention methods, along with a range of other helpful services.
As an author, public speaker, and consultant, I now happily offer two main service lines.
Through Unconventional Consulting, I deliver professional crime prevention services, investigative support, and case consultation in the Calgary area.
In the Unconventional Classroom, I deliver personalized keynotes, private events, corporate workshops, and investigative skills training, all inspired by my true-crime books and podcast series, designed to educate, motivate, and engage any audience.
