🔎 INFORMATION SOUGHT 🔍

Investigators have arrested and charged 1 man in relation to a shooting that occurred on the weekend in the city’s northeast.

📍 At approx. 3 a.m., yesterday, Sunday, June 7, 2026, police responded to reports of a man who had allegedly been shot outside of the Samosa House, located at 4310 104 Avenue N.E. It is believed the shooting occurred as a result of an altercation that took place outside of the Head Over Heels lounge, located in the same plaza.

The suspect was observed fleeing the scene in a grey 2019 Dodge Charger bearing Alberta license plate CTJ 0073 at a high rate of speed before police arrived. With the assistance from HAWCS, officers were able to safely conduct a traffic stop & took the suspect into custody. Police seized a loaded Canik TP9sfx 9mm handgun from the vehicle.

Though the suspect’s vehicle has been located, investigators are releasing a photo of the vehicle in hopes of advancing the investigation, in case people have information who have not yet come forward.

📌 As a result, Gurshish Singh BRAR, 22, is charged with 1 count each of discharging a firearm with intent & unauthorized possession of a firearm. BRAR will appear in court today, Monday, June 8, 2026.

🔎 Police continue to look for 2 additional suspects who are believed to be involved in the shooting. Witnesses describe the suspects as men between 20 & 30 years old.

The victim, while shot at, was found to be uninjured. Police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the incident.

🔵 CHARGES LAID 🔵

Our Homicide Unit has laid additional charges in relation to the death of a man that occurred in the southeast community of Ogden last year.

📍 On Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, at approx. 12:30 a.m., police were called for reports of gunshots in the 7000 block of 20 Street S.E. Upon arrival, police located the victim, outside his vehicle, deceased.

As the investigation progressed, police charged 1 youth & 2 men each with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, while continuing their search for a fourth suspect.

Yesterday, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, our partners at the Edmonton Police Service located & arrested the outstanding suspect who was wanted on Canada-wide warrants for murder.

📌 As a result, Yahya ABDULLAHI, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder & conspiracy to commit murder. He is scheduled to next appear in court on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit thanks the Tsuut’ina Nation, the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service, the Edmonton Police Service, Alberta Sheriffs North, the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team North & the RCMP members of the Clearwater B.C. 🔴 ONGOING INVESTIGATION 🔴

We are currently investigating the deaths of 2 people in northeast Calgary.

📍 On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at approx. 2:05 p.m., police attended a home in the northeast community of Temple to check on the welfare of a resident.

Upon entering the home, officers found a woman in her 40s & a child under the age of 10 deceased.

The investigation is in its early stages, however, at this time police do not believe there to be an outstanding suspect & more information will be shared as it becomes available.

Our Homicide investigators are releasing CCTV photos of the suspect vehicle that is believed to be involved in the fatal shooting that resulted in the death of a man earlier this week.

📍 At approximately 7:50 p.m., on Monday, May 11, 2026, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the parking lot of the North Hill Co-op located at 520 16 Ave. N.E.

Upon police arrival, two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds & transported to hospital. One man was declared deceased & the other remains in stable condition.

Investigators are releasing CCTV images of the suspect vehicle which is described as a white SUV with the rear window partially broken and taped over on the passenger side.

📣 Our efforts to address gun violence rely on strong community support. Officers are asking anyone who has dash cam footage from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, in the area of 504 of 16 Avenue N.E., heading eastbound towards Strathmore, to contact police.

Police are asking the public for assistance in an ongoing arson investigation.

📍 At 4:40 a.m., on Sunday, April 19, 2026, a Volkswagen Passat was burned in the driveway of a home located in the 6000 block of Saddlehorn Drive N.E.

Security footage shows 2 people walk up to the car, then set it on fire.

They then flee east, toward a nearby school.

Anyone with information, or who may have dash camera footage of the area at the time of the incident, is asked to contact police by calling the non-emergency number.

🔎 NEED TO IDENTIFY 🔍

We are asking for the public’s help to identify a man believed to be involved in the theft of audiovisual equipment last month.

📍 On Sunday, March 15, 2026, at about 1 p.m., it is believed a man entered the Genesis Centre, located at 7555 Falconridge Blvd. N.E., where he accessed a media room & took audiovisual equipment valued at approx. $20,000.

The suspect then fled the scene carrying a pink & white bag.

After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the suspect, we are now asking for help from the public.

🔎 The suspect is described as approx. 5’8” tall, with a slim build & dark facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black toque, a black hoodie under a black leather jacket, blue jeans & black shoes.
