ON THE ROAD TO 1000:
We've set a new goal to reach 1000 cranes. There is not let time limit. It will take years and I'm committed to completing this project.

CRANE HANDLERS:
If you are interested in becoming a crane handler, contact me at [email protected]. You will get a crane in the mail. All you need to do is find a spot, take a photo and send the photo to me. I will post to this page and my IG feed (#366cranes). THANKS!

1001: "Let all the souls here rest in peace; For we shall not repeat the evil."

It would’ve been a shame if I didn’t leave one at the Hiroshima Peace Park. During my 2-week trip, I folded one and placed it in the area where people place their folded cranes.

Now, I’m officially done.

1000/1000 The only thing more exciting than experiencing the aurora borealis is to experience it with friends, whooping and hollering. -Young Kim We didn’t get to whoop and hollar because aurora was shy. While this isn’t how I wanted this project to end, I am glad to finally put a bow on it. Hoping someone finds this crane and starts their own adventure. On to the next project!!

998/1000 Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. - Rachel Carson The best part of visiting Lake Louis was the trail around the lake. Forest bathing, taking in the blue waters and the startling sound of ice falling off the mountain.

997/1000 The goal is to die with memories, not dreams. - unknown. Our home base for the last couple days. Right near the uptown area, short walk to the transit stop and a free breakfast! Rainy day today which will most likely cover any activity if there is some. Still enjoying the immense beauty! Just being able to step outside the front lobby and get the Mountain View is enough to make me happy. Crane 967 now sits at the hotel library shelf for its final destination.

996/1000 Leave the road, take the trails. -Pythagoras First night in Banff did not produce any lights but the next day was an amazing hike to Bow Falls. Everywhere you looked, there were amazing views of the mountains. We’re attempting another try at the lights tonight.

The last 5 cranes are going on a trip this week. To hopefully see the northern lights in Canada.

I’ve been holding on to these until this trip. A trip I’ve talked about for years! Even if we don’t get a show, it’ll still be an amazing trip with great friends. But fingers crossed for a show!!
